DRAWING 2009 – Biennial Fundraiser

Drawing 2009 offers the perfect opportunity to purchase new, unique works by significant artists at an affordable price. 231 artists, both established and emerging, have made an A4 drawing in support of The Drawing Room and its non-profit activities.

Cornelia Parker will open the auction. All welcome.A voluntary entrance fee of £5 enters you into a raffle to win £200, redeemable against any work in the auction.

Bidding opens at 12.00 on 30 April and ends on 20 May 2009 as follows:
Lot 1 (Artists A-E) ends at 19:30
Lot 2 (Artists F-M) ends at 20:00
Lot 3 (Artists N-Z) ends at 20:30

Bids, starting at £200, can be placed on-line, at The Drawing Room and by telephone.

HOW TO PLACE A BID
You need to register as a Bidder by filling out the on-line Bidder's Registration Form. This will allocate you a Bidder number which you need to remember.
You will use this Bidder number to place as many bids on as many drawings as you wish on-line or at the silent auction event. This number gives you anonymity and will appear on the projection that displays current bids at the auction event.

There are two options for bidding.
1. Your bid: place your bid which the system will register immediately.
2. Your maximum bid: This is optional. Enter the maximum amount you are happy to pay for the drawing. The system increases the bid in the minimum increments as necessary to maintain you as the highest bidder. Please be sure that your maximum bid is a figure you are happy to pay.

Current bids on all works are visible underneath the thumbnail images on the view all works page.

PLEASE NOTE
Bids start at £200 and increase in the following minimum increments:

£200 - £500:	minimum £25 increments
£500 - £1,000:	minimum £50 increments
£1,000 - £2,000:	minimum £100 increments
£2,000 upwards:	minimum £200 increments

In consideration of your use of The Drawing Room website you agree to: (a) provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by the Bidder’s Registration form and (b) maintain and promptly update the Registration Data to keep it true, accurate, current and complete. If you provide any Registration Data that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, or if we have grounds to suspect that such Registration Data is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, The Drawing Room has the right to suspend or terminate your account and refuse your participation in the auction.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your auction password and Bidder number and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password, Bidder number or account. You agree to (a) immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your password, Bidder number or account or any other breach of security, and (b) ensure that you exit from your account at the end of each session. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this paragraph.

By agreeing to the terms and conditions of this website you are agreeing that if your bid for a particular drawing is the highest bid you will pay the amount of that bid to The Drawing Room for that drawing. Payments can be made by cheque, cash or credit/debit card and must be made before or on collection of the drawing.
